9 Months

Captain Adorable is nine months old!! He's growing up so fast and getting to some really fun stages.

• Captain Adorable gets into a crawling position from sitting on his own. He tends to get one leg caught, though. He does the whole rock back and forth thing, but still hasn't crawled yet.
• He rolls all over the place.
• He can hold his own bottle and sometimes he prefers to drink his bottle on his own on the floor. You can tell that he wants to be put down while drinking when he pushes his head WAY back so he's looking upside down and he tries to roll out of your arms.
• Captain Adorable sticks his thumb in his ear when he's tired. He has a little scab in his ear from it.
• Whenever we are out I always hear people say, "Happy baby!" because he smiles at everyone. He greets you with a smile whenever you walk in the room.
• Give him a box of toys and he's content to pull it over so he can rummage through them.
• He seems to enjoy being carried around by Ballerina.
• He out-eats his sisters at almost EVERY MEAL. He weighs 20 pounds 5.5 ounces. His arms shake when he's excited for his food.
• He sings or hums to his food when he really likes it.
• Captain Adorable is pretty excited about the idea of standing up. He gets SOO happy when we stand him up, or help him pull himself up to stand. He can't quite do that on his own yet.
• He's a little mouth breather when he gets excited. And he likes to growl.
• He is used to having someone play with him and he doesn't like being left alone.
• I love to tickle his ribs and gets some great belly laughs out of him.
• He can always make me smile because he is so smiley and happy and he loves me so much.
• I know that I have timed his bed time or nap time perfectly if he smiles and giggles and stuffs his blanket in his mouth when I lay him in his crib.
• That blanket gets so dirty, especially if he's got it in his high chair and he grabs it and stuffs it into his baby food covered face. I need to remember not to give it to him when he's in his high chair...
• If Captain Adorable starts to fuss, Ballerina starts this high opera-ish singing to try and calm him down. I don't know if it really works, but he knows she is aware of him at least.
