Family and Kids Festival

A friend of mine Buzzed about this Family and Kids Festival so we decided to take the kids. We had wanted to take them swimming, but the pool was having a swim meet. It cost $8 (with coupon) for the family and it was pretty fun. There were lots of free activities for the kids. There was a reptile zoo:Free face painting and balloons:
The balloons are supposed to be fairy wings.
Sweetie wanted a butterfly on one cheek and an ice cream cone on the other. She got a "magic wand" made out of balloons.
The face paint lady REALLY wanted to paint Captain Adorable. So we went for a star. He didn't even move.
Ballerina loving on him as usual.
There was a cookie decorating station.
People were wandering handing out coupons for all sorts of things. We have a ton of Cold Stone ones.
There were some gymnastics groups that had brought mats and trampolines that the kids got to play on. Some groups performed. There were craft tables from kid stores and day cares. There was a table for making letters for soldiers. A chiropractor had a Twister game out.
Ballerina planted a bean and she brought it home and transplanted it in the garden all by herself. The fire department was there with fire safety pamphlets.
There was a LOT to do and we all had a great time. If we'd wanted to pay extra money we could have had the girls do a pony ride or bounce in some bouncy houses. But there was enough free stuff that they were fine.

Ballerina could totally take up a profession as a firefighter. I see it. Definitely.
